Don’t worry folks.. this wasn’t a saddle fit issue.. this guy just forgot to tighten his cinch.
Yes, this is me, sliding down the side of a rock.. just like saddle fit.

I am an independent consultant that is not here to sell you a saddle, pad or magical mystical girth. My role is that of an educator and saver of money. I can save you $1,000’s, not $ 100’s. Think about how much you’ve spent finding the perfect saddle, buying all of those pads to help your saddle fit better, and using your hard earned new horse money for that “special” girth.

I will assess your current saddle, review options to improve the fit of your current saddle and help teach you how to assess the fit of a saddle for future purchases. Seriously, if I do my job correctly, I will help save you money by: providing you with the education of saddle assessment, making your horse more comfortable, minimizing injury to you and your horse. Afterall, if a horse isn’t happy, it’s only a matter of time before they really show you how unhappy they are.

How do you tell if you may have a saddle that doesn’t fit?

Ill fitting saddles can not only cause discomfort, but they can cause injury to you and your horse

,if your horse decides he/she has had enough. When in pain, the horse will start to change

his posture and the way he/she carries the body to get away from the pain.  These are just a few of the many signs:

•Ears pinned when saddling

•Cinchy

•Hesitant to move under saddle

•Biting at sides when riding

•White hair appearing

•Sensitivity in back, shoulders, and loin area

What’s the rock? What’s the flare? What’s the spread? Which of these are important for your saddle fit?
